Live virtual workshop

What is facilitation?

Leading a meeting is often about moving through an agenda and sharing information. Facilitation is about guiding how a group thinks, talks, and decides together. A facilitator creates the conditions for people to contribute what they know, work through different perspectives, and reach shared understanding, so the outcome reflects the whole group, not just the person at the front of the room.

You already bring people together….

You lead board meetings, staff retreats, planning sessions, and client conversations. You listen closely, care about outcomes, and want everyone to leave feeling heard and ready to act.

Those instincts are the foundation of great facilitation. This workshop helps you build on them, adding approaches that make your gatherings more intentional, more inclusive, and more effective.

What changes for you

You lead with greater confidence.
You’ll walk into meetings with a clear sense of how to guide them, and trust yourself to respond when things don’t go as planned.

You share the work with the group.
You’ll help people think together, so the wisdom in the room shapes the outcome and leadership feels more shared and sustainable.

More voices shape the conversation.
Quieter perspectives come forward, power dynamics are named with care, and staff, board members, and clients experience being genuinely heard. Trust grows as a result.

You navigate complexity with ease.
Disagreement and competing perspectives become a source of insight. You’ll guide the group through them while staying connected to its purpose.

People leave clear and committed.
When people help shape decisions, they own them. Your gatherings build momentum on the work that matters most.

Why this is worth two hours of your time

Every meeting, retreat, and client conversation you lead is an investment of people’s time, energy, and trust. When those moments go well, the effects ripple outward: a more engaged board, a more connected team, clients who feel respected, and a mission that moves forward.

This is a working session, not a lecture. You’ll reflect on your own experiences, learn alongside peers, and leave with approaches you can use whenever you bring people together.

Is this for you?

It is if you:

  • Lead board or committee meetings
  • Guide a team, planning process, or retreat
  • Run workshops, trainings, or community gatherings
  • Facilitate client meetings, support groups, family conversations, or case planning sessions

No facilitation experience needed. You already bring strengths, and we’ll help you build on them.

Leading an organization? Register together with your staff or board and build shared facilitation practices as a team.
